I like Nestle quick instant coffee because it is quick and easy to make. During morning rush hour, I like to have a coffee for a pick-me-up and Nestle instant coffee fits the bill.

When I first met my husband, he could not understand why I didn’t like coffee. He would concoct these fancy coffee drinks, and I would not drink them. Finally, I caved to his charms and took a sip… HEAVEN!!
I asked him if all coffee was really like this good, and when did they change it? He asked what was I talking about. My parents had only drank instant decaf coffee, super strong, and lukewarm. I finally realized that there was REALLY good coffee out there! I have a delicious homemade cappuccino every morning, thanks to my wonderful hubby!

I remember spending a week or two in the summer or some time at Christmas with my wonderful grandparents. I was never a late sleeper, and neither were they. I would get up in the quiet of the morning and they would have the little, silver, whistling teakettle at a gentle boil on their old gas stove. They would ask me what I would like for breakfast, and I also knew they would allow me to have some coffee with them. They used instant.
They would fix me a small cup, and I HAD to add Coffee-mate to it. I would sit there with them, just the three of us, and I would feel like a grown up drinking my coffee. I felt so warm and cozy and special. I still enjoy my coffee to this day and the quiet conversation in the morning with my husband, or my father if we are visiting. It is the perfect start to my day.

I spent two years in China.
Looking for coffee first in all the grocery stores, all I found was instant coffee. It was not good instant coffee. I had to have coffee so I bought some instant coffee.
Then a friend there told me about a coffee cart in one of the big stores. I found it and bought the coffee beans at $14.00 a pound. At least this was better than instant coffee.
Also at these same grocery stores, the tea there was Lipton Tea only. To get the better teas China is known for, you must find a small shop that sells only tea. But most people in China shop in the grocery stores, so Lipton it was. But not for me.
